Land Rover or Porsche?

Well, they're both ugly status symbols driven by insecure nitwits. One is at least built by a company that knows how to make trucks, the other is just a rebadged touraeg with ugly body parts. what you really need to do is ask yourself: Do i go offroad? Do i need a giant truck? The answer is usually no, and for the money you could get a better looking vehicle that is actually fun to drive.

Just went to test drive The Range Rover Sport HSE Lux and The Cayenne. I bought the Cayenne. its a much better driver, much more interior space, and the interior quality is amazing. I was expecting for the land Rover to have a better interior but the Porsche had excellent quality materials. The land rover is probably better off road, the Cayenne not being bad though. Just check the prices because since the Cayenne is more prestigeous, its more expensive.

I would trust a Porsche's reliability way more that a Land rover. I like the way the Land Rover looks more, but they just aren't rated to be that reliable.

I was Exactly in Your position the past November(2010) I was crazy for a silver RR Sport HSE but after I saw and drove the Porsche I decided to buy the Cayenne, Mine is the basic (Not the Turbo or even the S) One of the reasons for Me to buy The Porsche was because if Porsche makes the most Expensive SUV In the Planet is for a Reason!

If you want a reliable SUV, get a Toyota LandCruiser.

The BMW X5, Porsche Cayenne, and Range Rover Sport are all relatively unreliable cars. They are luxury cars with high performance engines, brakes, and suspensions along with tons of specialized electronics and gadgets. Each of these components improves performance but reduces reliability. At the end of the day, its a trade off - performance and luxury OR reliability. You can't get both at this time.

Porsche.

LandRover has literally and consistently been on the bottom of the reliability list for the past decade I believe. While Porsche was near the top. In comparison to all major brands.

The LR's are known for being the worst cars reliability-wise.

Porsche.

If you have a couple kids and want luxury I would go with Range Rover, but if you want power go with porsche.

Go for Land Rover. They are much more experienced in building SUV's for all terrains.
