R&S: Are you connected with Nature?

When in the woods or by a lake, I'm at peace with myself. I can gather my thoughts and be in touch with my inner being, find out who I really am.

Do any of you feel that way.

I only have to feel the breeze on my face to feel connected with nature. But I'm lucky to be able to be in the middle of a city of 2 million people then be able to get on a bus and in 10 minutes be at a lake, or a wood, or moors. And do quite often.

But I also feel very connected to nature when making something using power tools or coding something. Inventing and doing these sort of "unnatural" things is 100% natural for people. Like it's not actually natural for humans to be naked. Every human group ever discovered wears something. They may have their bits out but we are just as naked to them for not wearing the right feather in our hair or not having a painted face etc...

  • I have recently tried to make that a reality, last season I started a garden, my first so it was terrible, but the tomatoes we great in pasta sauce, and the lettuce was a success, some acorn squash is almost done. for me the sound of rain makes me as you say. when I drink tea, I think I am drinking all the chemistry of the earth in that part of China for the ten days that a tea leaf is grown before plucking, I am tasting the mountains on which it grew, the earth, the worm schit (quite tasty), and I think these tea farmers dont make nearly enough money. I am hoping my second crop of peas does well.....

There is no better way to experience deep meditation, than being by a bubbling brook, with birds chirping and the wind whistling through the trees. There is nothing around to distract your thoughts and you have all the time in the world, it seems, to reflect on those thoughts and why you feel the way you do. It is pure bliss!

Yes I am connected with Nature. We have hiking trails here in town and I just love going down the trails. It gives me peace of mind like I can connect to God and be myself just me and him when I am out there.

Yes, very much so. I hope to buy some wooded acreage with a pond when I retire.

We can only find ourself when we are alone with ourself and we have been asked too look at the creation of god so we can recognize his greatness and realize our humanness.A true believr can see got in everything and a blind person only see's this world.
