Southwest Airline question?

I have a question about Southwest Airlines.

They offer this special called "Wanna get Away?" special where the airlines tickets are super cheap.

I'm trying to fly from LAX in Los Angeles to San Francisco and I was wondering if any would know how long in advanced you have to book the tickets in order to get the super cheap deal?

I called a representatives and they did not solve my question...someone please help!

There is no definite answer because no one can tell when all such tickets will be sold out. Once all those tickets at this fare are sold, there will be no more Wanna Get Away. On the other hand, about a month ago I was able to buy a Southwest ticket for $49 less than 10 days before departure which very seldom happens. Basically it's all based on supply and demand.

If you want the better deal, generally you need to be at least 14+ days in advance, 21+ is better. But, it really depends on when you travel, when you book because sometimes they will have a sale for a couple of days, such as right now. The sale is that you book by monday, travel between dec 13 and jan 5th and you get fares starting at $59 one way.

You have to just check their website and use the low fare calendar to find better deals. Virgin America also has a route between SFO and LAX. Their prices are usually comparable if you book at least 14-21+ days in advance, excluding holiday season like Christmas week.
