If I get a Bachelors in Childhood Education administration, do I ALSO need to get a CDA for the good jobs?

What job do you want? With your degree, I would say mostly administrative positions. But, if you want to teach in many Head Start and preschool programs in public schools, your degree is useless. You then need a four year teaching license, not some ECE degree. Sadly, in many states a teaching certificate is required to teach even babies in public schools or Early Head Start / Head Start centers, and a 4 year ECE is not even looked at. One of those 'we went the best', but the degree the state wants doesn't really fit the ages you want to teach!

Source(s): 20 years teaching preschool, until I moved to another state and wound up out of work since I lack 'teaching certificate'. Check your state regs, your college won't.
