How do I stop my adult, spayed female cat from running outside?
My cat is about 3 years old, spayed as a kitten, and has ALWAYS been an indoor only cat. Lately she has taken to running out the front door, usually when I am bringing my dog back in from a walk and my handscare toofull or I am too distracted to stop her. Obviously I don't want my little brat to be pooping all over the apartment complex, jumping on peoples cars and generally making a nuisance of herself outside. Not to mention being killed by poison, big dogs, hawk, cars, disease...
Why would she start this so suddenly, and how do I stop her?
2 AnswersCats5 years agoHow can Dexter afford all those goodies for his lab?
Seriously, I can barely manage a cell phone and Internet connection for my underground lair, and I have a full time job! I can't even find a reliable source for plutonium and giant killer robot components. Where is he getting all this stuff?
1 AnswerOther - Television7 years agoWhat is the best flushable cat litter?
I am training my cats to use the toilet, which includes a hybrid phase of litterbox with hole on top of toilet. I need a safe flushable litter to keep from clogging the toilet and causing issues. And yes, I am quite positive my cats don't have toxoplasmosis to kill wildlife. They have both been tested and NEVER go outside to get exposed.

1 AnswerCats7 years agoPrincess Luna costume ideas for 4 yr old?
I have the main body, wings, and even the mane and tail figured out. (I think)We are going very girly, so she has a tutu skirt and leotard outfit. But not sure how to do headpiece- crown, ears, horn and something to hang the mane from. Any ideas would be nice, especially ones that take my general lack of any crafting skill into consideration.
1 AnswerHalloween8 years agoWhat happens if a Little Pony doesn't do what thier cutie mark says?
I know one episode dealt with the marks getting switched magically, and the ponies were extremely unhappy. But that was imposed on them from outside.
What would happen though if Rainbow Dash lost a wing in a terrible accident and couldn't fly anymore, but discovered a new passion for writing adventure stories? Or Mrs. Cake decided never to bake again after the bakery fire accident that killed her family, but maybe she started knitting hoodies for the homeless and really enjoyed that?Or the pony simply decided that even though she was really, really good at making toothpick towers and sculptures, she hated them and would be just as happy to nnever see a friggin toothpick again? Would the Cutie Marks change, or would the pony turn into a neuriotic mess because they weren't living up to thier predetermined destiny? Are there any real choices made?
4 AnswersComics & Animation8 years agoHelp for submissive peeing dog.?
Our sch/terrier is driving us insane. He is a major submissive pee-er and we can't seem to discourage it. He's the worst for my husband. DH can't even play with him or talk to him without a puddle, which is really depressing. But even I have to be super careful around him to avoid messes. I was a groomer for 18 years and specialized in scared/ shy animals, but I can 't seem to do anything with this guy. He's never been treated harshly here, and although a chicken is not mean or snappy at all. He's a sweet boy otherwise, but we can't enjoy his company because we are getting very sick of everything smelling like dog pee. We have had him since June, and he's getting worse instead of better. Anyone have any suggestions on getting him past this? Otherwise we are going yo have to rehome him, and I REALLY hate to do that.
3 AnswersDogs8 years agoIs PBS Frontline considered a scholarly resource?
I need a scholarly resource in a multimedia format about vaccination. The paper is about the controversy behind vaccinations and the choice not to vaccinate. If Frontline doesn't count, does anyone have any suggestions?
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)9 years agoHow do I get sugar cookies to stay in shape?
I have tried several different recipes, fresh, boxed, frozen, butter, margarine and even Crisco and I keep getting shapeless blobs instead of the cute cookie cutter patterns. What am I doing wrong?
5 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoVaccination! Good podcast/ videos against?
I am doing a research paper for a college class, and need to find good sources for information about choosing not to vaccinate. I have tons of stuff FOR vaccinating, but would really like a balanced view. Please no rude or argumentative remarks, I am just looking for strong material.
4 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting9 years agoHow do I stop my toddler from pooping her pants?!?
She is doing great on pee-pees, but no matter what, will NOT poop in the potty. We have been at this for months now. She hates the feel of a yucky diaper or panties, they are hard enough that they can't be a surprise, and if you ask, she knows that poo-poo in the panties is yucky and naughty, and she gets rewards for going in the toilet.
12 AnswersToddler & Preschooler9 years agoIn Ca. Can adult with a learners permit have a child in the backseat. There is another adult driver teaching.?
I have never really needed a license, but now kind of do. My husband plans on teaching me, but I'm not sure if we can have the toddler in the car with us.
2 AnswersSafety9 years agoIn Ca, besides childcare license, do I need business license for home daycare?
And how do taxes work? I know I don't charge taxes for a service, but what do I report and pay on? Also is there an extra fee for the home inspection, or is it included in application fee?

1 AnswerOther - Television1 decade agoDr. worried about 15 month old's protein intake?
She is a terrible eater, and had to be put on two pediasures a day for weight gain. The pediasure helped alot, but the Dr's worried that she's not getting enough protein and wants her to have an egg a day. Problem is, even though she likes egg she won't eat a whole one, no matter how it's cooked. She barely takes a bite or two of ANYTHING even if she loves it, and that includes sweets and goodies too. (Dr. is suspecting muscle issues in mouth, she's had mouth issues since birth, we are waiting for the specialist appointment,)
So, are there any protein supplements that are ok for babies? Would it hurt to add a quarter scoop of muscle milk (light) to a bottle a day? She's fine with milk and soy products, she just won't EAT!
5 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoCA rental question- management or tenant?
We have been renting a little home for a bit over a year. Now that the weather is warming up, we've noticed a surge in pests. We asked the owners to fumigate and they said they only had to do it within the first 30 days? Is this normal for houses as opposed to apartments, or is it still the owners responsibility?
1 AnswerRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoWhy did my green beans spark and flame in the microwave?
I was making a handful of frozen veggies for my toddler, and the green beans started sparking and caught fire! They acted almost like they had metal? I've seen it happen once before when I was babysitting and one of the kids tried to nuke one green bean for her doll, but we all assumed she had done something else to make it spark. Apparently we were wrong, and it has something to do with the beans themselves. Now I'm just very curious.
2 AnswersBotany1 decade agoAre there any other "Indigo" adults who don't think we're some sort of "otherworldly" entities?
I fit all the typical characteristics of an Indigo adult, i.e born in '75, wide blue eyes, psychic awareness that was much stronger as a child, interest in tarot, creativity, odd working mind (lots of comments on that LOL), bad grades as a child because I never did homework, even the indigo aura. And I can certainly relate to the out of place feeling of not fitting in. However my brothers and I who exhibit these characteristics actually find it highly insulting to be considered in any way "otherworldly". And everything I read turns it into a kind of creepy religion.
So is there anyone else out there who considers themselves an Indigo, but thinks the mystique surrounding the idea is silly?
