Atheists! Can you Prove to me that there is no God?

Academia states that in the absence of proof of the existence of something it must be deemed not to exist until verifiable proof is found - thus god is held not to exist pending some sort of verifiable evidence.

The bible is what is called "Faction" A fictional story set in a factual time and place. Thus the time, place and real historical characters are all correct but the fictional characters and stories are not!

There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded!

There is not a single contemporary record from any source and even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!

He was supposed to have been a huge problem to the Romans and produced wonderful miracles but still not one contemporary record?

Pilate is recorded in the Roman record as a somewhat lack luster man but no mention of a Jesus, a trial or crucifixion that would surely have been used to make him look brighter!

At best he was an amalgam of those others but almost certainly never existed!

The Roman Emperor Constantine produced the bible and he was a pagan not god! He took the Jewish religion, organized it into Christianity and then into the Holly Roman Catholic Church!! Not in Israel or any of the countries of supposed origin but entirely ITALIAN!

Not one word of it is contemporary with the period and was not written until several hundred years after the period the story is set in!! How did the apostles write their books more than a hundred years after they would have been dead?

What a wonder full disinformation and deception campaign he waged against his Jewish enemies by turning them into his invented Christianity - so good in fact that Christians are still following the deception to this day!

The first person to provide a shred of verifiable evidence for God will become world famous and mega rich! Ain't happened yet and it never will!

So how does this primitive belief survive? The answer is simple and very down to Earth

They are christian, Muslim or the other religions depending where they were born simply because they were indoctrinated by their parents as very young children. They will go on to indoctrinate their own children and those will go on to indoctrinate their grandchildren!

Atheists have the intellect to see through the conditioning and escape into the real world!

Agnostics have the intellect to see through the conditioning but lack the courage to throw of the conditioning entirely.

Sadly Christians, muslims and others are still held firmly prisoner by the self perpetuating brainwashing!

It depends entirely what you mean by the term "God".

As you don't specify, I'll have to presume a common claim of creator of the Universe.

1) As time is part of the Universe, creating the Universe means creating time.

2) If time was created, there must have been a *prior* state of no time.

3) A *prior* state of no time is a logical impossibility, as a state of no time cannot be *prior* to anything.

Thus the Universe cannot have been created, thereby disproving a creator God.

Voila! No God.

Atheists don't believe in God because there is no evidence supporting the claim of a God. We don't need to prove anything, as the proof of burden is on you. You are the one who needs to be proving to us that there is a God.

Evolution shows that species adapt and change to better suit their needs for survival, God takes no part in it. For if God was as omniscent as he's claimed to be, then humans would already be perfect. This is not the case. If you assume that God exists and he is the true creator of everything, then he isn't as intelligent as you think he is. For example, we don't use our wisdom teeth, appendix, and many other things. A quite moronic designer to say the least.

I can't prove to you that a God doesn't exist. But you also can't prove to me that a God DOES exist. Let people believe what they want to believe, and stuff it. Because you are just as annoying as any other religious nut.

I wish they would ban religion already, we would advance mankind 1000 years quicker.

if i could do you think i would be on here at 1:30 am? i can point out flaws in biblical texts that support my reasoning for not believing in a god and pretty much disproves itself but other than that no i cannot prove there is no god and you cannot prove there is. if either of us could do one or or the other then we would not be having this discussion and either i would be a believer (or rather someone who KNOWS god) or you would be an atheist or follower of some other non deist based religion. There is always the possibility of being able to prove or disprove a god but right now i cannot do that.

The big bang started the universe. Evolution shows NO SIGN of there being a creator. Living things were created on Earth when Earth was finally able to support life, about half a billion years after it even existed.

If you think the universe needed a creator, look up Stephen Hawking videos on youtube and listen to what he says.

No of course you can't prove it, but the lack of evidence is no proof of existence. Even so, I can explain to you how the Universe was formed and how life began; however, that isn't proof that there is no God.

P.S. Yes I'm an atheist, and there are things we cannot and possibly will never prove. You just have to weigh your options

It's ultimately impossible to prove the absence or the existence of God. I can't buy either absolute. The possibilities are too endless to take one and just say it's totally out of the question.

I just said "if there is a god, strike me down"...nothing happened, case closed.

P.S. they actually changed the whole A.D. B.C. thing now it's BCE and CE, before common era and common era. Psalm 14:1, you so cray-ce... The burden of proof lies in the believers, not in the non-believers, at least for science.

Tell ME how evolution shows evidence of a god more than a lack of one.
