Does Coffee cancel away the absorption of Vitamins?

Is it true you should not take mineral supplements and vitamins within two hours of drinking coffee or else you'll waste away their benefits?

The only Vitamin I heard that coffee interferes (both decaff and regular) with is Calcium absorption. For the others it does not interfere with them, in fact it may speed up the digestion of it. Think of a Red Bull caffeinated drink with all its B Vitamins and how there is caffeine in Excedrin to speed up pain resolution.

The caffeine in the coffee is a diuretic that makes you pee out the water-soluble vitamins and minerals.

But another thing to keep in mind is that taking multi-vitamins can be dangerous for your health. A recent study has found that older women who take multi-vitamins are at increased risk of death. Only calcium supplements taken alone reduce the risk of death.
