Can the amount of each of these three debits be found out?

Between her home mortgage, car loan, and credit card bill,

Sheila is $115 000 in debit.

Each month Sheila's credit card accumulates 1.5% interest,

her car loan 1% interest, and her mortgage 0.8% interest.

After one month her total accumulated interest is $975.

The interest on Sheila's mortgage was $700 more than the interest on her car loan.

Find the amount of each of these three debits.

    After one month her total accumulated interest is $975.

    The interest on Sheila's mortgage was $700 more than the interest on her car loan.

    Find the amount of each of these three debits.

    X = mortgage

    Y = car loan

    Z = credit card

    X + Y + Z = 115 000

    X = Y + 700

    0.008 X + 0.01 Y + 0.015 Z = 975

    2Y + Z = 114 300

    8X + 10Y + 15Z = 975 000

    18Y + 15Z = 969 400

    18Y + 9Z = 1 028 700

    6Z = -59 300

    Z = -9883.33

    X = 62 791.7, Y = 62 091.7, Z = -9883.33

    It is doubtful if the problem is correct.

    This is algebra not personal finance.

    DO the equations.

    X=mortgage

    Y=car loan

    Z=credit card

    X+Y+Z=115000

    X=Y+700

    X(0.008)+Y(.01)+Z(.015)=975

    You can solve the equations yourself.
