Grand Prix GTP turns over but won't start, no spark at the coils...Crankshaft sensor?

After changing my alternator and battery the car seemed to be running very rich like the timing was off. After getting the car home, we disconnected the battery and reconnected it after about 5 min. Now the car won't start at all. It turns over and has plenty of battery but there is no spark at the coil pack. I was thinking it was the ignition control mod, others are saying the crank sensor...Any ideas before I start buying parts???

Update:

I also did the reset with the car remote and got the 1 beep and 1 flash of the lights indicating the reset.

If you have a security system on the car,it would be your most likely problem.Turn the key to the on position and leave it for 10+ minutes. This will signal the car is not being stolen and start right up after.I hope I helped.I'm adding this to my watch list in case you have more info.

i was thinking the module too because the module puts the juice into the coil pack to fire the plugs. i won,t say it,s not the crank sensor but it sounds more like the module. i had a oldsmobile that acted like that once and it was the module.
