If f(x) = 3x and g(x) = 3x - 1 and h(x) = -2x,

find

g(-2) - h(-2)

= -7 - 4

= -11

14).

f(1/6) / g(4)

= 1/2 / 11

= 1/22

15).

h(x)*g(x)*f(x)

= -2x(3x - 1)3x

= 6x^2 - 18x^3

= 6x^2(1 - 3x

g(-2)= 3(-2) h(-2) = -2(-2) f(1/6) = 3(1/6) g(4) = 3(4) - 1 -2x * 3x-1 * 3x

g(-2) = -6 h(-2) = 4 = 3/6 = 12 -1 18x-1

f(1/6) = 1/2 g(4) = 11

g(-2) - h(-2) f(1/6) / g(4)

-6 - 4 (1/2) / (11)

-6 - 4 = 10 22

These problems are really simple, so don't over think them.

All you are doing is substituting the x value with a number.

So, if:

g(x) = 3x and h(x) = -2x

And you want to find g(-2) - h(-2), that means substitute -2 for x:

g(-2) = 3(-2) = -6

h(-2) = -2(-2) = 4

Now subtract them:

g(-2) - h(-2)

-6 - 4

= -10

See if you can do the others. Like I said, really easy, you can do it.

f(x)= 3x, g(x)= 3x-1 , h(x) = - 2x

1) g(-2) - h(-2) = {3(-2)-1} - { -2(-2)}

={(-6)-1} - 4 = - 7-4 = -(7+4) = - 11

= (1/2) / (12-1) = (1/2) / 11 =(1/2) * (1/11)

=(1*1)/ (2*11) = 1/22

3) h(x)*g(x) *f(x) = (-2x)*(3x-1)* 3x = -6x^2*(3x-1)

={ -6x^2 * 3x} -{ (-6x^2)*1}

= - 18x^3 +6x^2 =6x^2-18x^3

g(-2) - h(-2)=-7-4=-11
