Why is my firefox freezing every 10-15mins?

I have the latest updates for it, this has been happening for about a month now and I'm getting really frustrated with it.

Firefox freezes, sometimes the audio from videos sticks around, but other than that it's just a frozen screen with a loading icon. It takes a few minutes for it to unfreeze itself.

Any ideas as to what it may be?

Update:

I hate windows updates.. they make my computer slow...

I don't think its a virus... that would be a pretty damn useless one too. "oh lets make a virus that randomly freezes web browsers.. teehee." thanks though, I will run a scan just in case.

A buffer overflow can randomly freeze a web browser, & this can be used to inject your PC with a virus.

You probably do have some kind of malware.

And Windows updates don't make your computer slow, unless your PC hard drive is almost full already.

Again, you need to check for any malware.

Try uninstalling then reinstalling it. Does this happen with any other web browsers? I don't think it would be any kind of memory issue or processing problems, but I guess anything is possible.
