Can you pick up a prescription without insurance?

For birth control at Walmart? I'm a minor (17) and I have the money but my parents can't know I have it.

Update:

Oh, and if I don't go and pick it up (my doctor sent it in today) will Walmart call my house asking if I'm going to pick it up? That would be very bad.

If the prescription is for you, you can pick it up yourself unless it is a controlled substance/narcotic, like pain medications. You must be over 18 to pick those up, so if that's what your med is, then you will need a parent.

The pharmacy won't call you to see if you're going to pick it up or not. They have to many prescriptions to try and take the time to do that. What will happen is that if you don't pick it up within seven-ten days, they will put it back on the shelf and you will have to get the prescription all over again.
