Go to www.twitter.com
Make an account its really simple just pick a @username (example: mine is @StormeyIsLaced). And password u need a email and stuff
You don't need anything special you can access it from a computer and most phones
Then u "follow" people and eventually people will "follow" you back only people who follow will see what you say and you will. Only see. What. People you follow says . Good luck and follow me if u want

Twitter is a website, just like this one. You go to twitter.com to access it.
Basically, every person who has a twitter account can go onto the website and say what they're doing. Just type it right into the website. Whoever "follows" them will see what they wrote. So, if you were making a sandwich and for whatever reason wanted the internet to know, you'd go on twitter, type in "Making a tasty sandwich" and anyone who has followed your account will see it and know that's what you're doing.
I guess it's like a diary, but the entries must be 140 characters or less.
You don't need any equipment, you just need to go to the site and sign up(:
There are hashtags, which is # that symbol. It's basically if you want to mention something. So if you were writing about Lady Gaga, you'd write #LadyGaga and it would link to her page.
Basically.
There are a few more things to understand but it's something you pick up as you use the site more often.
Honestly, I think it's a pretty stupid idea XD

1 when u get twitter you pretty much post up what you're doing and where whenever you are doing something you believe people or your "followers" would be interested in. You in turn cam also "follow" someone which means you just keep tabs on them- so whenever they update their status as to where they are or what they're doing- u are notified. It's a good tool to stay in the lives of family & friends in a way they want u to be.
2) go to twitter.com and sign up for a free account! All you need is an email address.
3) in order to access it u just go to twitter.com! As simple as that. You pick a username and password and just sign in whenever u want to.
4) all you need is Internet - a way to get online- and an email address. If you have a smartphone it's even better because as you are doing something when you're out and about- you can post something up
Example!
"I'm currently waiting in line at the movie theater to see the new movie Footloose!"
Your "tweet" can be something as simple as that. And people can comment you on it.
If u have anymore questions u can always message me if you don't find all the answers u were looking for!
I believe a lot of celebrities also use twitter so u are able to follow them as well. :)
