Xbox360 controller joystick replacement problem?
Hey i replaced my joysticks, i soldered every pin, did it clean closed her up, the controller works fine, all the controls register but when i move the joysticks they do not register until half way in ether direction...... is this a defect in the thumb-stick replacements i bought or something i missed when reconnecting it..... or are the controllers just a peace of ****.... the thumb sticks on it were drifting from a brand new controller and very lose, these new ones are tight but do not register, im also wondering if that is just they way they make them???
please no ps3 fan boys i own both systems i dont care for banter....
No i do not want to buy a new one, these controllers are built to crap standards, they are only suppose to last from 6 months to a year before the joysticks start drifting bad, i am not going to buy a new controller every 6 months to a year for the fact that im irritated of Microsofts shady business practices, when N64 (first console to use a joystick) came out their joysticks were replaceable by taking out a few screws and a clip easy as that.... i would rather spend more money modifying and fixing my controllers then give Microsoft more money for something that should still be working. Ps3 solders them on as well....
