Is there anything to do in Downtown Kansas City Mo?
And I mean downtown, not Brookside or the Country Club Plaza/Westport area. Like I-35 and Broadway stuff headed east to 18th and Vine area. Real downtown, by City Hall
I know all about the KCPL/Sprint Center area, Crown Center, Union Station and the KC Jazz District, what else is down here?

Going with the broad definition of Downtown, which basically includes from the river on the north down to Linwood on the south, here's a less than inclusive list off of the top of my head.
River Market/City Market: Shopping, bars and restaurants, some good antique stores IIRC, plus a number of events and activities throughout the year.
Theater: I mean, there's lots of it. Kauffman Performing Arts Center, Music Hall, tons of big budget and small indie productions.
Crossroads: Art galleries and more art galleries. Look up First Fridays, a monthly event spanning multiple galleries.
Museums: National WWI Museum at Liberty Memorial, the KC Museum, NLBM and the Jazz Museum, but you know those already, right?
Pick up a Pitch or another local paper, look in the community calendar. There are a ton of events going on any given day.

The area you are referring to is extremely close (just a matter of 2 or 3 blocks) to the Power and Light District and Sprint Center, so I would say this is where the entertainment you are looking for would be. In the immediate vicinity of City Hall, it is primarily a legal and business district with the courthouse across the street, the police station next door, the KCMO public schools building, and the corrections facility both right there as well. There are a few restaurants but they cater primarily to all the nearby employers...places like Subway and Quizno's. Anyhow, if you are at City Hall, you are pretty much at the Power and Light so I would just head that way.
