Having problems with Verizon dsl, please help?
I got Verizon about 3 weeks ago and finally got my box delivered last week. I hooked it up but it won't work. I have called them numerous times and they say that my service is ready to go but it's not working and I can't figure out why. I have it all plugged up correctly but the dsl light is flashing and the Internet light is not coming on at all. I connected the cat5 to my computer and it says that I'm connected but local only and no Internet. What is wrong and how do I fix it? Thanks

When I had a problem with those symptoms, it turned out there was a faulty component at my local telephone exchange.
Here's hoping yours is an easier and quicker fix.

additionally, stay in Western PA yet have not have been given Verizon - that may not from now on an decision! we've a Ma-Pa little rural community DSL service which SUCKS. i've got have been given had subject concerns and subject concerns and subject concerns for the previous 13 yrs!

Make sure you have the filters they sent on all extensions, except the wire connected to the DSL modem. Do not filter the modem. Do not filter empty phone jacks.
