Alright which company would you say has better quality with shotguns in these areas.
Overall quality, Remington vs Mossberg on a whole.
Bare bones 500 vs 870
835 vs 870 Magnum
and Special Purpose Models. 500 vs the 870 and the 870P vs the 590 and 590A1.

Remington will always have better quality it just depends on your budget, I bought a mossberg 12 gauge for less than $300 which is way less then what a Remington will be but my mossberg is still a great shotgun for the money

I disagree with the above answers. In everything you've listed, Mossberg makes a better shotgun if you look at the whole package. You get more for your money, and the 500/535/590 has many features that are better than the 870's.. The basic 870's use a cheap finish, cheap wood, and they are not nearly as smooth as an 870 Wingmaster until very well broken in. 870's are more expensive.
The only 870 that is worth buying over a Mossberg is the Wingmaster. Mossberg simply has no answer for that one. The Wingmaster is polished and smooth. But for any sort of utilitarian pump, Mossberg is the way to go.

As long as you're staying away from the bottom line guns, the quality is pretty close, though I'd give the edge to Remington. Still, I prefer the position of the safety on the Mossberg. But I prefer the Remington grip shape.
