Have you heard, it's been said that it doesn't matter which path you take....?

because all paths lead to God. Isn't it true that when you enter a race you can't set your own path? In order to when the prize a person must run the path set out by the judges. If you take your own path and still manage to finish first, will you still receive the prize although you didn't follow the rules? I think not. So how is it possible to choose your own path when it comes to God? Will he still reward those who don't follow his rules? Please explain and state what your information is based on. No ignorant comments please.

Update:

Samrise- if there are different paths that lead to God then why does his word say that there is only one Lord, one god, one Faith and one baptism. One faith means one path to get to God.

Certainly, not all paths lead to God.

But on the other hand, that doesn't mean there is only one path to God. It's not like a race, in which all participants compete in the same endeavor, and the only question is which can perform it best. It's more like a gathering, in which people start from different places and follow different paths to the same destination.

"Of course, there are universal rules to which all goodness must conform. But that’s only the grammar of virtue. It’s not there that the sap is. He doesn't make two blades of grass the same: how much less two saints, two nations, two angels.”

I think these scriptures say it all.

(Matthew 7:13,14) “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it."

(Matthew 7:21-23) “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.  Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’  And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.

(Romans 10:2-3) For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge; for, because of not knowing the righteousness of God but seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

(1 Corinthians 1:10) Now I exhort YOU, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that YOU should all speak in agreement, and that there should not be divisions among YOU, but that YOU may be fitly united in the same mind and in the same line of thought.
