what is a "national home"?

My understanding of a national home is that it is a self governed autonomous state which acts as the homeland of a given nation.

Other understand a national home as a place where a nation can call home, with that place not being autonomous or self governed.

It seems completely clear to me, however, that if the UN decides on the creation of a national home for the Kurdish people in Turkey/Iran/Syria, it means that the place referred to will be carved out of the respected country in order to create a separate state for the Kurdish people.

It is meant for collectives of peoples who are recognized as a nation but do not have a homeland.

In the case of Britain in Palestine it was not worth the White paper it was printed on.

They betrayed the confidence of the League of Nations and of right thinking people all over the world.
