visit visa (my sister) to USA - what do i need from the start for just visiting?
I have a sister, a 50-year-old, she wants to come visit me.
I am a citizen of the United States.
She just wanted to visit here for a couple of weeks and no plan to live.
What do I need to do?

it would help a great deal if you told us her nationality. if she is from a country on the Visa waiver list, she may visit the U.S. for up to 90 days without a visa. She just needs to register for Esta. If she is not from a VWP country, she needs to apply for a b-2 tourist visa from the nearest American embassy or consulate.
