I live in Los Angeles. My front yard is about 2000sqft. on that, I put 1000pcs pavers thinking it's okay. Shortly after, I have received a notice of code violation from the city. saying I needed to meet the code, which is at least 50% landscaping. 

So I removed most of the pavers(not consider landscaping material). City denied. Then I put gravel on the dirt, got another same notice. 

Their concern was I can't have pave other than walk path and vehicular access. 

based on my neighbors who have the exact same floor plan as mine, already have something similar, even smaller yard because they have concrete drive way which I don't. some don't even have landscape.

my question is why is city code department minding my yard so much? giving me letter twice already when neighbors got none.

is there anything i can do? ie reporting they are treating me unfairly, etc. Thanks 

Met her two years ago on Instagram. I'm in LA, she's in Singapore. 1st met last year for a week, everything went smoothly. I noticed, she spent more than what she does. ie. has Apple products worth about over $3000, she makes $2000/month. Knowingly she is living on the edge, so I paid for all for our short met. 

Her habit didn't change. Don't get me wrong, she is very generous. She bought me a $100 bag which I never asked or needed, but confused and accepted. 

And..she lost her job recently. Her work permit ended. Needed tooth extraction, I paid it all $700. She went to interview, sounded solid, so she looked for a new place to live, for herself and parents. Lander demanded lump-sum of $3000+, she borrowed from someone and paid. Job didn't turn as expected, now the loaner wants the money back, she already paid to her landlord. Has $1500 in her account. Been crying river.Very good heart, probably the best. but don't know where she is when comes to spending and money. Would spend it all if she could, not afraid of hide. I am total opposite, I saved up to where I wanted to be. Never been negative since I was a student. I can almost retire now, have half a mil house, no mortgage, six-fig in liquid. but seems like my asset won't last with her in my life if I want to move on with our relationship.

Difficult situation for me.

She was my teenage crush in 9th grade, i gave her a love letter, didn't seek for answer, we moved out of town and never met again.

15 years later, found her on facebook, started chatting like old friends. I was married, now divorced recently.

She has been contacting me obsessively and I can't blame her. At this age, she could be aggressive. She said I made her feel comfortable, if her father is the man she look up to and I am the 2nd, strong words. But only been a month or so, I am not sure her feelings are real.

We both working class, average.

She lives in Burma and I am in Los Angeles.

My guess would be lower middle class since my total assert is less than half a mil.

One mil would be a middle class? I guess it depends on the neighborhood that we grew up with.

Where do I stand in America? Low Middle class?

I am currently living in Los Angeles, CA. YES, I know it won't be the same moving to Kansas City, but my work requires it. I will be working in Independence with my wife, no kids.

I have no idea about the area other than looking on the google street maps.

Which area would be nice and peaceful? of course, near grocery stores and such.

When she came look at the car, there was nothing really wrong with the vehicle, no check engine light etc.

I have a Fiancée.

Before we were engaged or being together, I tried to find out who/what/how she really is.

Instead of asking other people around, I asked straight to her about her past, ever had boyfriends and stuff. I want to show her that I Trust her, Believe only her words.

She said she had only one boyfriend and they never even touched each other. okay. its fine with me.

One week before we were engaged, she told me that she had total of 4 ex-boyfriends in the past 5 years, between them nothing happened with them so that was why she didn't tell me. she said it wasn't important to us and there was no sex, just some mouth to mouth kisses. a few of them asked for sex but she denied because she wanted to keep her virginity for her husband.

She said she didn't care about them at all and she was bored that's why she got into many relationship, (i didn't buy that because if you do not have any feelings to someone, you wont say yes, agree?)

what makes me angry was why she didn't tell me when i asked her. I know that she loves me and all but also felt she lied to me.
