Wanted to know where I stand in America.?
I am married, have no kids, no pets, no siblings or absolutely no one to be taking care of.
$96k/yr take home
$20k in the bank
$450k house, still owe $150k, [about 3-4 years to pay off]
Two cars, ~$10k, no car payments
$0 retirement savings, the house it the retirement plan.
My question is where do I stand in American average, in terms of the major cities, ie LA, Chicago, Miami, Huston (NYC, SF would consider much higher)
Lower Class, Lower Mid Class, or Mid Class?
My guess would be lower middle class since my total assert is less than half a mil.
One mil would be a middle class? I guess it depends on the neighborhood that we grew up with.

It all depends on where you live. If you live in New York or California you probably qualify for a food supplement program.
If you live in Mississippi, Kentucky or Alabama people will think that you are a billionaire.

$96K. mid to upper middle class. most people in this lame economy might make $50K and that's with a family. talk to a financial planner about your retirement. you might be able to do better than just your house, like buying property.
