How do I get over this crushing grief?

I lost my paternal sister last year and I am still so dazed and stunned that she is actually gone!! When her memory comes to mind,I break out in uncontrollable tears and am devastated by the emotions that it evokes. This sister stepped in and raised me and my younger sister when we lost out mom when I was 16 and my younger sister was 15. I can hardly stand to live since she is gone and I feel like I have nothing to live for. What can I do...I am so terribly grieving!

Oh my goodness, I hope you get better some day.

I suggest you talk to your sisters, get one of them (the stronger one) to make a slide show with pictures of her and her favorite music and just.. reminisce.

Also, check sixbillionsecrets.com it is a great site for such. <3

Your sister would not be happy that you are so miserable. She took the responsibility to raise you and your sister because she wanted you to have a good life.Crying will not bring her back. You need to honor the chance she gave you by doing something meaningful with you life. The time for grieving is long past over. You need to forget her death and remember her life and become something useful for her, in her honor and memory.

grief will only crush you if you let it.
