f(g) = 1/{[4/(x - 1)] + 2}
f(g) = 1/[(4 + 2x - 2) / (x - 1)]
f(g) = 1/[(2x + 2) / (x - 1)]
f(g) = (x - 1) / [2 (x + 1)]
f(g) = ½ [(x - 1) / (x + 1)]
Since (x + 1) cannot equal 0, then x cannot equal -1. Hence the domain of f(g) = {x | x Element of Reals, x ≠ -1}.
