Freedom of Religion V. Right to Life?
I'm writing an essay and I need this question answered:
Is it wrong for the parents of a medically-ill child to refuse treatment for their underaged child due to their religious beliefs? I'd appreciate long and thoughtful paragraphs if possible. 10 points for whoever brings up the best points from both sides.

There have been a few court rulings that have ruled that parents like that are committing negligent homicide. Once you are born, you have a right to live, regardless of what your parents would like. Once the child is deemed capable of making a rational decision, the courts will stand by his decision. Until then, CPS or the court takes over if they parents are killing their child.

Freedom of Belief...
A child should have a say so in their beliefs,
however, they cannot make the choice until
they understand what that choice entails.
therefore the child should be held to the belief
of the parents, their guardians, the people who
gave birth to and raised this child. This is the religion
the child is being taught by the parents.
Through the Centuries many religious beliefs are passed
down though the family members. Many times it is very
much a part of how they are referred to and/or remembered within their community.
Many generations are devoutly following their family religion.
We must give credence to the belief of the parents.
Who are we as Society to come in and assume the child would believe any differently than it's parents?

Religious beliefs never excuse a negligent parent from the proper medical treatment for their child.
Simply put no religious belief excuses the imposition of pain on others, especially a child.
Nor should they.

Wiith all respect, while you have freedom of religion and belief, but you cannot use religion or belief as an excuse to let somebody die who didn't want to die, unless there's nothing that can be done.
