China has just launched a module for its space station, is America comfortable with...?

Dude, for the last ten years, it's been obvious China has been the Dominant World Power. Our government knows that and respects the Chinese, and likewise, it's just the American people who are so lopsided on whose the best.

It is pathetic that the country that went to the moon in 1969 today cannot put a man into space, while Third World countries like China and India are launching satellites. Doesn't anybody realize that if other countries have better spy satellites, they have the military advantage?

America, my friend, will be hitching rides to space for the next 5 years from the Ryssians. NASA has long term plans to transfer most of its functions to the private sector, while it will serve as more of a tech development hub. World is much more globalized, nobody cares anymore about space. In terms of military implications there are few that we did not know about before.

Do we have a choice?

The "arms race" is over.... and if China wants to spend it's money going to space.... that's good for everyone as I see it (better than having them build 14 Carrier fleets to patrol the planet don't you think?)

The Chinese are not stupid... they know that a much larger nation than their own in terms of resources once TRIED to out compete the U.S. in defense technology..... and largely because of that very race..... that nation no longer exists.

The US doesnt have the dough to take part in a space-race.

Sadly,the first people to colonise the Moon will be Totalitarians.

Often times perception and reality are in stark contrast, only becoming congruent as the end nears.

Bring back the Chinese exclusion act

China doesn't have flush toilets in all their homes yet.

Remember Republicans believe that Government can't do anything! This is what the Republicans want!
