I did mis-understand you. You left out "best story".

Although, I find origin stories to be the best. They explain how the character came to be and what motivates them. Otherwise, you would need to break up the older titles into time periods. A 6 page story from the 1930's or 1940's doesn't really compare to a whole book story from the 1960's-1980's or a multi-book story from current time.

II read the Elite story (two part-er?). I did not think it was that good. I much prefer #242 over most others (except the origin), although there are a lot of good Legion of Superhero stories in Action.
