Provincial Police Officer failed to wear his uniform to address the Traffic Offence Ticket?

Yes i was pulled over last year: Received a Ticket for failing to provide 'proof' of insurance. The Officer gave me about 8 minutes to look for it. Before i could find the insurance card, the officer returned back to the car several times. Sometimes without his "FULL" uniform on. Asking: "have you found the insurance card yet ?" Twice. Second time he didn't even really come over he just popped his head out of the car and asked. (without his HAT). Now because he did not properly address me (with uniform) and from his car: Is there a technicality under the Ontario Provincial Highway Traffic Act ?

You are clutching at straws, my friend.

The Canadian criminal code has NO section that makes ANY reference to a Police officers NEED to wear a hat, while performing his duties.

Was he wearing his uniform, and did you SEE that he was a Police officer, and was he driving a marked POLICE vehicle. If he was.....you are cooked, when you go to court. The Judge will laugh your argument out of court.

By the way, where did YOU get your law degree............ Popcorn box, or cereal box.

And by the way, part two, it is perfectly legal for the Police officer to attend court in plain clothes not his Uniform, if he is on a day off. What he wears does NOT alter his being a Police officer, at all.
