How come the Politics section of Y! Answers is so addicting?

I've noticed this and I wonder what you think of it.

    Because politics is one of those topics that get people riled up. It's why it's one of the taboo subjects to discuss while drinking. (The othe two are religion and relationships.)

    Learning is addictive to me. Spent the first couple years on here in the religious section, I'm now a devout agnostic. Spent the past three years in politics, I see government for what it is now and I'm proud to call myself a true American because of it.

    Now that I know this is becoming boring, not sure what I want to learn next, have to figure out what I don't know.

    For the most part people here realize that *politics* makes our government run and there is a certain passion held re: our process.

    That's a lie to mr. Knight. There are still some very intelligent people but we just don't wanna be here much anymore because of people like that. Its getting to be ridiculous.

    it used to be filled with intelligent people... Now I just use it to see the radicals of both sides act stupidly on the world wide web.

    it's losing it's appeal, but I still check on pretty much daily.
