    If it's for a person you're fond of and plan on or are dating, a gift is a lot more appropriate. Cash, well, some people provide services for cash...

    If you've been with a person for a while, then cash might be more acceptable.

    You know, with all the options out there, you're no longer limited to roses and chocolates.

    Because it is romantic and thoughtful, acceptable, not practical, and takes some effort to obtain.
