What are good medical field careers?

I'm considering Dentistry, but I just want to keep my options open to other careers in the field. I don't want to pursue in something that takes 8+ years.

Also, anyone who is a Dentist or in school for dentistry, do you like it? Is it very difficult?

It all depends on what you're interested in...if you're just going into dentistry because you don't want to be in school too long, then I would highly recommend not going into it. I think you'll find medicine is more rewarding and much more open to explore. You need to have a passion and enjoy what you are doing...especially since it will most like be what you will be doing for the rest of you life. It is a big decision to commit yourself to any of those fields and you will need to be willing to put in a lot of time and effort into it regardless of how smart you are. Medical and dental school are both very expensive and challenging.
