Serious answers please? Sleeping question?

I am extremely exhausted but I cannot sleep anymore. I haven't been able to fall asleep at a normal time for months now. I toss and turn in my bed and I typically don't fall asleep until...sometimes 4am, other times 7am.

I'm currently 19. Have always struggled with sleep.

My mother won't let me go to a doctor for help because she thinks that I am making it up or that I can try and get my sleeping pattern back on track.

I don't know what to do. Can someone please point me in the right direction for this? I think I am seriously becoming depressed over this and it scares me. :(

Serious answers please!

10 points promised to the person who has the best advice.

Thank you very much.

    Is it a sleep disorder?

    Do you . . .

feel irritable or sleepy during the day?

have difficulty staying awake when sitting still, watching television or reading?

fall asleep or feel very tired while driving?

    have difficulty concentrating?

often get told by others that you look tired?

    react slowly?

    have trouble controlling your emotions?

feel like you have to take a nap almost every day?

require caffeinated beverages to keep yourself going?

If you answered “yes” to any of the previous questions, you may have a sleep disorder.

http://helpguide.org/life/sleep_disorders.htm This is the site that will explain sleep disorders and give you information on them.

And ways to treat them to help decide if it is something you may need to go and get checked out .

Sleep Hygiene one zero one... Bedroom = sleep and intercourse most effective, ideally darkish and quiet No caffeine after lunch (gentle beverages, tea, and so on integrated) No sugar after dinner Eat a healthful vitamin Exercise everyday, ideally within the morning however no later than six hours earlier than going to sleep Yes, the ones severely are referred to as sleep hygiene and so much insomniacs recognise approximately them! m.m's above yoga recreation is a nice one, btw. Very strong so much of the time. Sex, good, commonly do not have got to move there. Sleepy time tea and hot milk do not do a factor for me however others swear via them. Can't believe of so much else proper now rather then to mention blissful zzzz's and well success.

You are 19. Can you get yourself to a doctor without your parents' permission? Maybe a free clinic somewhere if you don't have the money? There are meds, and there are doctors who specialize in sleep disorders. Good luck.

You probably have insomnia, which is a sleep disorder. You can get medication for this but you would have to go to the doctor. Otherwise, you could be depressed or stressed or both which affects your sleep. To get anti-depressants you will have to go to the doctor too.
