If a dog eats poop, does their mouth ever get clean?

I've always heard that dogs have the cleanest mouths...well, my dog eats poop sometimes so i doubt that! My question is, after she eats poop, does her mouth every get clean? Does her saliva get rid of the poop bacteria? Or should i wash her mouth out. I have a 9 month old baby and occasionally my dog tries to lick her

Yes, their saliva is suppost to have an antibacterial agent in it. But I still wouldn't let my dog lick my baby in the face. You could always brush it's teeth to help keep it cleaner too. With doggie toothpaste and brush of course.

That's disgusting. Stop your dog from eating poo. And yes, I do have a dog of my own. Who doesn't eat poo. If anything it's really bad for them.
