Factor completely? x^9z^3 - y^3z^6?
I just need the method that gives me the answer. I won't put the answer because I want to ensure that I am given the correct method for the correct answer.

Dear Felecia,
x^(9)z^(3)-y^(3)z^(6)
Factor out the GCF of z^(3) from the expression x^(9)z^(3).
z^(3)(x^(9))-y^(3)z^(6)
Factor out the GCF of z^(3) from the expression -y^(3)z^(6).
z^(3)(x^(9))+z^(3)(-y^(3)z^(3))
Factor out the GCF of z^(3) from x^(9)z^(3)-y^(3)z^(6).
z^(3)(x^(9)-y^(3)z^(3))
The binomial can be factored using the difference of cubes formula, because both terms are perfect cubes. The difference of cubes formula is a^(3)-b^(3)=(a-b)(a^(2)+ab+b^(2)).
z^(3)(x^(3)-yz)(x^(6)+x^(3)yz+y^(2)z^(2))

x^9z^3 - y^3z^6
z^3 ( x^9 - y^3z^3)
USE FORMULA a^3 - b^3 = ( a-b) ( a^2 + ab + b^2)
z^3 ( x^3 - yz) ( x^6 + x^3yz + y^2z^2) ANSWER
