I have a male guinea pig and when I took him out today I notice he was balding on his belly towards his thing... I'm really worried this has never happened before!!!
Well any ideas on what it is and what i can do to help him would greatly help
He's definetely not old and i don't think stressed. HE lives with another male guinea pig. COuld the dominance be shifting and he's stressed ????? if so how do i treat him??????
Also he lives with another male guinea pig and he is fine so it probably isn't mites or vitamin c deficiency
also is it something gi should worry about
and i dont have anywhere to separate them and if i have one out for too long hte other one starts making lonely noises

if he is stressed because of the other male, try to separate them and that can be normal for animals, the same thing is happening to my cat and he is in great health so you should not be concerned, it is not life threatening

It is very possible dominance is shifting, and that is common when two male guinea pigs live together. Try separating them, and if the balding continues take him to the vet.

I agree with Molly. Seperate them and see if it stops. If it doesn't take him to the vet. If it does it's your choice whether you put him back or keep him seperated.
