No, there has been no official announcement of a season three. You must also take into consideration that the second season followed the first immediately - if there was going to be a third season, there would have been some sort of announcement by the production company. Popularity for the anime dwindled in Japan when season two was released, possibly because the story deviated from the manga, so I doubt anyone sought to continue it.

Anything you hear about a season three - especially by the name of Destiny - are all rumors and fanmade. Read the manga, the story is better.

Edit: regarding the "petition," no production company in Japan has ever changed their mind about a series just because 5000 Americans "signed" it; they are in it for their own audience, not international audiences - that's what their ratings are all based upon. I don't know why people bother wasting their time with those online petitions for more anime series; it'll never happen.

No, it's not true. Destiny is just a rumor (with absolutely no truth to it). There are no announced plans to produce a 3rd season of the series at this point. If you haven't already, you can always read the manga. It continues far beyond where the anime series stopped.

There is a petition for the release if you want to sigh up look for it in google and type in vampire night season 3 petition!^^ stupid yuki for picking kaname over zero!! Kaname and yuki are step brothers and sis!! What the hell!
