Feeling totally exhausted and aching all over?
I'm not sure if I am turning into a hypochondriac, but I have had a very varied medical history from the age of 4 years old, I am now 59 I have had a spinal fusion of L4 & L5 which kept me in hospital for over 14 months due to a trapped & damaged sciatic nerve this was over 25 years ago and most of the time i just have the odd twinge now & again but I have also had three major episodes of prolapsed disc L3. I had a bowel resection when i was just 20 years old due to Mekels diverticulitis and just 3 years ago I had a double heart bypass and since then have been in constant pain with my chest, back & knees.
I have been back & forth to my G.P. and the hospital but feel like so many others that i am being fobbed off due to lack of N.H.S. funding.
All i am given is multiple types of pain killers which do help a little but make me so tired and lethargic that my quality of life is absolutely aweful.
Also painkillers are deffinitely not the answer to my long term problems.
I have got to the stage where I feel its just a waste of time going to my G.P. and i am sure she is sick of the site of me but sometimes its just out of sheer desperation.
My personality has changed considerably these last few months i used to be such an easy going person, too easy going some would say but now i am short tempered fractious and verbally agressive its just getting me down so much. ANY MIRACLE WORKERS OUT THERE? :-(
Thnx Jordan But it was smoking that caused the need for a heart bypass.

Absolutely Horrid!!!!!!! I hurt everywhere, had NO energy at all, it was impossible to sleep longer than about 2 hours at a time as I couldn't leave the bloody toilet for that long.... I waddled better than any ducks at the park. I would wake up exauhsted and the thought of doing anything made me instatly tired again. I don't think i left my house if i didn't have to for the last month cause i just felt fat, ugly, swollen, terrible really. I had the most painful pubic bone and my lower back ached so much... bubs was posterior... in fact it almost puts my off having more kids cause i hated pregnancy so much!!! But hten agian on the flipside once my daughter was born and i got to meet her finally every single ache and pain and hour without sleep was totally 100% worth it! now 4 months later i'm happy as can be.... feel great heaps of energy and loving spending time with my girl....

I would say - visit a private GP (google it - there will be some in your area). It will cost you for a consultation, but might put your mind at rest, or they might suggest some blood tests to rule things out, and then you can go to your NHS GP if particular tests have been recommended and have those done on the NHS.
The private GP might not be able to help either - but at least you know that they aren't constrained by their budgets, and will give you their full attention as you are paying for the consultation.
I've given up on my GP now unless there is an obvious problem that they can resolve - mine rolls her eyes when she sees me, so I'm having a full health check/blood tests done privately soon to put my mind at rest (I suspect I have an autoimmune condition as my joints ache and I feel rough, but my GP won't even give me a blood test to rule that out!)

I agree with jordan, smoke weed and you will see why marijuana is being kept illegal and why it is ridiculous to keep it that way. Quit the pills, smoke the herb, and take control of your life again.
