I love my Glock 19, but here in Florida it's heavy and hard to conceal wearing just shorts and a tee shirt. My second choice was a Glock 26, but it's a less pleasant home defense and range weapon than the 19. For everyday light carry, I settled on a Ruger LCP, because if it's not light and small enough to carry everyday, what would be the point? But enter my home or give me a hard time in the winter or on a mean street, and you'll get to say hello to the 19.

I would go with the 26. It is compatible with all Glock 9mm magazines. You can also get magazine with a grip extension to get a better grip on the handle. But I know a lot of people that conceal carry a G19 so its up to you. Go to the gun store and try them both out and see which one you like more

I currently carry the Glock 23. I wish I would have went with the sub-compact 27 due to the weight. I would say for just conceal carry the 26 is smaller and easier to hide. Carry a glock in your waste is fine, I wouldn't recommend carrying it hot though.

If it's strictly for IWB CCW, then yeah the 26 is the better choice. On all other counts (home defense, range gun/target shooting, Open carry/shoulder holster carry/car gun/in a laptop bag, etc.) the G19 wins hands down. Since you already have the full size 17, you should probably go for the subcompact G26.

I like the G19's but that's because my hands are really big and the sub compact Glocks (G26/27) just don't feel right in my hands. However I have carried the sub compacts as well and was surprised by their superb accuracy.

It will all depend on your hand size and how small you want to go.

Glock 19 because its small but not to small where it feels funny holding it. I like the G19 because of the fact that its still combat effective and smaller than full size Glock's but the G19 will still fill your whole hand.

it depends, which one feels better in your hand? also, which one is smaller and or thinner to carry in your waist? it all kind of depends on the feel...personaly i like both, especially a g19 but the g26 is a little small for my hands.

Tween the two---I would go for the 19.

"in my waist"????............caution- with a Glock--it should be in a proper holster!!!. Too many accidental discharges (including deaths) with Glocks in the belt.

If you are going to carry, then carry with one in the pipe, you won't have time to rack the slide when the time comes.
