Ohio Deer Hunting...public property locations?
I live in extreme easter ohio, 3 miles from PA border near youngstown. I have only been here 1 year and have never hunted ohio before being a pennsylvanian transplant. Can anyone reccomend places that offer public hunting for deer....prefer Big woods that are not insanely crowded. parks...private landowners...anything would be greatly appreciated, On another note....anyone going to PA let me know and I will be happy to point you to places where you will find deer. Thanks again !

Go to ODNR web site and you should be able to find and print maps. Look at the counties w/ the biggest deer harvest....they are close to you!...Licking, Muskingum, Coshocton, Tuscarwarus, and more. Coshocton has one of the largest public hunting areas. Also, there is a lot of pubic land called Wayne National Forest . Many wildlife areas.......try to get the rules and regulations booklet.

I live in the beaver creek area down by calcite and there is a lot of public hunting grounds.
