Skyrim - PS3 or Xbox 360?
I will be picking up Skyrim this weekend but I still haven't decided whether to get it on my PS3 or Xbox 360. I have read several reviews and visited comparison sites but I haven't seen the game running on either console myself. Can anyone who owns the game on one or other console and/or has personally seen the game running on both consoles say which they think looks sharpest/runs smoothest etc? I don't want to ignite a console war - I just need an honest & informed opinion before making my final decision. Thanks!

They do a comparison here:

Looks like the 360 version is better, but the Sony fan boys will never agree.
lol - Told you so. Listen to the professionals, and not the people without an agenda.

The Xbox version has better graphics (not very noticeable) and slower loading times, alot more glitches and frame tearing but you also get DLCs earlier. The PS3 version has fewer glitches but gets DLCs a month after Xbox gets them and faster loading time.(Xbox takes about 55 sec to load while ps3 only takes about 33 sec). You can eliminate the load time on the 360 by installing it to the drive but then youll have to deal with the huge graphic glitches it has for streaming it off the hdd. My brother has the PS3 version and I have the 360 version, we did comparisons and there's not much difference as far as graphics go, Xbox is also getting graphic patches first because all the glitches with the textures. I would go with the ps3 just because how glitchy the 360 version is and how slow it loads but if you buy it after the 360 gets the updates, go with the 360. Hope I helped

I've seen it on both and i have not noticed any HUGE differences to be honest. I own a PS3 and have skyrim on that, the only issues i've been having are the typical bugs that everyone has been suffering i.e menu freezes, blank face glitches, animation freeze ups (dragons fly all stiff and it looks hilarious!) But this isn't something they wont be able to patch.
In my opinion the PS3 is a winner simply because the red light of death will never be a problem! You don't want to lose all those precious saves!
I would recommend warning everyone in your social circle before you begin playing this game though, i'm certain you won't see them for months once you become addicted!

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the next installment in the award-winning Elder Scrolls series. Skyrim is the follow up to the 2006 Game of the Year, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and the next game from Bethesda Game Studios, creators of the 2008 Game of the Year, Fallout 3.

Few glitches here and there. But PS3 runs smoother so far and the XBOX has graphic problems. Get the PS3 version seems better in the long run with NO massive issues.

PS3 has a major lag issue when you hit a certain number on your save file. Though a patch is being worked on for all systems, I would go with the Xbox. It's just better.

the 360 looks better than the PS3 visually(very little differences though) and i am yet to encounter any game breaking bugs or any that hinder gameplay.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o921p4TIzH4 thats a video comparision of PS3, xbox and PC
also when you get quite far into the game on PS3 and yours saves get pretty big the game can get game breaking frame rate drops

They are both nearly the same but the game was driven a little more towards xbox so it is a little better as long as you don't install it to your hard drive but the difference is hardly noticeable.

Dunno man, I have it on PC, i love it 40+ hours of gameplay and I found unfortunately a major bug...I'm glowing because a spell effect stuck on me, can't do sh!t to stop it causes framerate drops...
But I read on the internet that on consoles there are lots of bugs.Maybe buy it on PC?
