Would you vote for Mickey Mouse for President?

He has a good heart, common sense, and is too stupid to be devious. One thing, he is kind of a puppet, being controlled by animators. LOL.

I think we voters should threaten to bypass the campaign finance problem, and that's how Mickey Mouse or Ron Paul could be valuable. Suppose we simply refuse to vote for any candidate that accepts money from lobbyists, corporate officers, etc. Then those campaign contributions have no effect. We must stop paying attention only to candidates who are heavily promoted in the mainstream media via advertising.

This means we could cast protest votes for any of those crackpot candidates who run outside of the Democrat and Republican parties. Don't worry, they won't win.

Or maybe we should vote for Democrats and Republicans who refuse to accept corporate money in any form. Ron Paul might be qualified this way, but I'm not sure; does he still get indirect corporate support because he's within the Republican party?

I would feel more comfortable voting for Mickey Mouse if he were neither Democrat or Republican.

Anyway, once large numbers of voters start backing the outsiders, then more plausible candidates hopefully will try to win without corporate money.

If nothing else, we can have the satisfaction of not giving consent to the usual variety of politicians.

Why not? According to ACORN, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck registered to vote in 2008 and voted for Obama. Those Socialist have a sense of humor don't they?
