NASCAR fans did you enjoy the race tonight?

I did what a comeback by Tony Stewart. I thought it was one of the greatest ever.

It truly was an amazing race for both Tony and Carl. The last 40 laps was some of the hardest racing I've seen in a long time. And how bout' Tony's slide job he used to pass many cars. He was rounding the turns like he was on a dirt track. He sure didn't spin his tires on the restart either. Carl was a class act after climbing out of the race car immediately after defeat to say such kind words. He'll have other opportunities around the corner.

I was happy to see Kasey Kahne finish the year out strong with another solid finish. The announcers said that he accumulated the 3rd most points in the chase. For a one year deal with team Red Bull joined with uncertainties of the future, he will be credited with keeping this team alive should it do so. I know HurriKhane has to be happy as well that Kasey and Kenny Francis will be going to superior equipment next year at Hendricks. There were other drivers that hated to see go like David Ragan and Ruetiman. Maybe they can secure a ride somewhere in NASCAR top three divisions. They are such great guys. I'll bet Brian Vickers gets a ride in N' wide next year. We will just have to wait and see. I'm already counting down the days till racing @ Daytona starts the 2012 season.

I enjoyed it, even though I am a Carl Edwards fan. Carl finished second in the race and because of the tiebreaker Tony Stewart won the championship and should be congratulated. Whatever happened to that team or that car took him from someone who barely made the Chase to the championship. I prefer co-champions because Carl had 26 Top 10s and finished in the top 11 in all 10 Chase races. But it was a good race except for the rain delay. Atlanta in 1992 was better by a mile because Kulwicki and Elliott fought to the finish similar to today, but it was Richard Petty's last race and Jeff Gordon's first race, but today might be the second best ever.

  • I'm going to be short and sweet with my answer!

This is the best race I have seen since I became a NASCAR fan! There were two winners #14 Stewart and #99 Edwards. They raced fair. They had fun and they respected each other. Edwards was very gracious congratulating Smoke. That's cool!

This points system seems to work! What a chase this was........... Totally awesome!

Congrats to Smoke for the Championship and Carl for running a fair race!

    STEWART HAAS RACING ROCKS!

I am glad Stewart won the title over Edwards.

While I am happy, it was not a real championship. How do you go from sucking bad every race to just winning them all. He was not sucking like being around 10th, he was sucking around the top 20 or so every race. First 26 races he was 12th best.......Last 10 he was the best. I am not denying that he dominated the championship chase races. He did. My problem is that he sucked all year. Not even competitive before the chase.

Traditional points system is the best points system out there. If we have to have a chase, then make the chase 26 races that way it is more fair. Every race in the sport should matter but it is now far from true.

Best race all year. Tony and Carl kept it exciting to the very last lap. Good, clean racing. I didn't even mind the rain delays. I'm a long time fan of Smoke but would have been happy for Carl if it was his day. Great race.

Tony and Carl's battle was very good. I didn't think the racing as a whole was phenomenal, but the championship battle was the best that I've ever seen.

That was a great race, watching Smoke drive back up through traffic a few times.

They both drove hard, and gave us a great race.

I'm not a fan or hater of Carl,

but I like him, and I have a lot of respect for his driving.

He's young and good, He'll win a cup championship yet.

Source(s): Great show, smoke. 5 wins in the chase.
