What would you do if tens of millions of people around the world suddenly vanished?
Some Christian prophesies foretell an event known as The Rapture when before the apocalypse, Christ summons the Church to Him and the Christians will vanish in the blink of an eye.
If you were to wake up tomorrow and tens of millions of people around the world suddenly disappeared, and the only thing that they had in common was that they were all Christians, what would you do?
Would you have the courage to reevaluate your beliefs or would your pride refuse to allow you to consider that you might be wrong?
Holden: do you know something the rest of us don't?
Thomas: I'm sure you would
Secretary: I'm not sure if even that would fix the economy, but you are welcome to try.
Steven: Im not sure how you came to that conclusion, but I am sure you will do well in your new profession.
Ash: We'll be thanking Him too. But your problems on earth will be just beginning.
Jacques: By all means, we won't be needing any of it anymore. Enjoy it while you can.
Mountain: That would only be a temporary reprieve. A few generations later and the population would be back up there again. On the other hand, if this event should be the beginning of the end, as prophesies indicate, the population of the earth will be getting much smaller very soon.
Auntie: Sarcasm noted. Was there a reason you ducked the question?
Richard: Hook up with Jacques. You can work together on that.
Cryptic: Many things are based on REASON and many things that exist are unreasonable (take a look at Washington DC).
Buddhist: Such language. What would Buddha think of that? Just out of curiosity, do you know what is the unforgivable sin?
Tim: Good idea. But keep in mind that if/when this occurs, people will vanish from behind the wheel of planes trains and automobiles. The roads may be in worse condition than you think.
Doug: Sounds like you read the book!
Hussey: Never is a long time, and lof of events that would "never happen" have come to pass. And so you know, Christians by definition aren't evil even though as humans they may occasionally do evil things just like every other human being. We aren't perfect; just forgiven.
William: Apparently you don't know as much as you think. The word "Rapture" is a creation of modern Christian doctrine used to identify and describe an event that has been described in scripture for ages. Your arguement that the Rapture is only a recent invention because its name is a recent invention is like saying that sunspots didn't exist until Galileo discovered them
Paradox: And you know this because......? If it isn't going to happen, what are you going to "keep waiting" for?
M. L.: Long night?
Sweetvoice: You might be surprised about what happens next.
Regwah: I'll check out that link and get back to you.
Infinity: See you there.
Samara: Hope to see you there too.
Kissmyasthma: Are you sure? What if she is one of the ones?
CJunk: What a day it will be.
Numbnuts: No one has made the grade. All of us have fallen short of the grade. Those who go will be invited out of love and mercy. The 144,000 are the Jews saved during the Tribulation. That is pretty straight forward. As for the JW and their interpretation of the 144,000, they had to revise their whole religion when their membership exceeded 144,000. And since they deny the devine nature of Christ, they can't really be called a "Christian denomination" can they?
GOV: Don't bet on it.
Bikenbeer: Is there a reason you ducked the question? My beleifs don't deny the possiblity of disappea
Bikenbeer: Is there a reason you ducked the question? My beleifs don't deny the possiblity of disappearance of garden gnomes. If that happened, I might be inclined to wonder why and how. Would you be willing to open your mind to what might be even though you can not detect it?
Excelerate: I heard that!

I would put a claim of ownership through abanonment on as much of their stuff as possible, and apply for a better job(there would be more openings)

In a world of seven billion and growing, a mere ten million would hardly be noticeable.
The idea of the "Rapture" is a creation of modern Christians which is not supported by their own scriptures, much like the new "gospel of prosperity" and other ideas that have been gleaned by the distortion and corruption of scriptures.
When the Last Day occurs and we are all brought before God so as to account for our deeds all that has ever existed will be called, not just a few. Alhamdulillah!

According to some Christian denominations its only 144,000 or others fewer still since its only true Christians.
Maybe it's already happened and the only true Christian was a man called Mountain Bob from Kentucky. You might not have made the grade.

Yay! No more traffic jams, no more pollution, no more restrictive laws, no more bible-thumping conservatism, more food, cleaner water. Wow, with all those Christians gone, I think you just might have described heaven.
