Pay by check with a 'condition of endorsement' on the back.
"In complete satisfaction for the damages incurred in the motor vehicle accident of 'date'."
Your returned check, or bank verified copy thereof, is a receipt and 'quit claim'.

This is why you have insurance. You can easily be scammed, your insurance company can't.

and what if she gets a backache? its better to go thru insurance, or get an atty to handle it
