what am i missing?I have a rca-vhs-dvd player-recorder.?
It works fine if what i recorded is played back on the dvd player itself,but if i try to play the disc on my older Zenith dvd player it wont even start to load.

Thats is because your older Zenith dvd player can not play dvd-r disc. There is nothing wrong with your disc you made. The older dvd player os old technology. Thats like trying to play a cd full of mp3 files on an older cd player. Just wont work,. It cant be read

Sorry, there is no longer one answer on your question - it relies upon on the form. I also have a panasonic DMR-ES46VS and it will checklist the two way. yet some others I researched purely copied from the VHS to the DVD. superb element to do is seem on the proprietors instruction manual.
