Hi I'm doing a university level research paper and one of the topics that I can do is The Korean war. However the topic is very broad and I am having trouble choosing a thesis for a specific part. Can anyone give me some ideas for a good thesis?

How did the outbreak of the Korean War test the young UN?

Did the Pusan Perimeter save UN forces from complete defeat in 1950?

How does the Korean War reflect the Cold War going hot?

Did the War actually end in '53?

Mobile evacuation units that carried patients back to MASH units. Korea saw the first use of helicopters in support roles in the Army. Or you could address the MASH units themselves - you have seen the popular, Emmy winning TV show, but what REALLY happened after the aid station?

Other interesting issues: could Chinese involvement have been avoided? Mind control experiments on POWs. The jet air war - the first ever. The relief of Douglas MacArthur would be rich political ground/

    Three things.

-the very public fight that got MacArthur fired: a general wanting to win versus a president wanting to avoid a nuclear war, and wanting to avoid a full-scale war with China.

-missing the clues: How UN forces missed the fact that vast numbers of Chinese troops were gathering to cross the border and attack.

-Inchon: Why the landings there could have produced a disaster...and why they didn't.

    ANOTHER research paper???

Wow, you won't have much time for Thanksgiving, will you (wink-wink)

You might want to vary your style a bit in all of these "research papers."

You seem to have one mode and you stick with it.

    Teachers like a little variety.
