What is legal method to transfer a registered semi-auto pistol from Nv to Fl.?

Selling a pistol w/ Clark County Nevada Blue card to a friend in Florida. What is the legal method to send him the pistol? Since Fl does not regulate the transfer/ownership of handguns, I would like to copy my card and include a brief bill of sale noting all my pistol registration info and the buyer name and address. Is it still legal to ship the slide and the receiver in 2 separate boxes?

Is a FFL required? If so are they required on each end? Really trying to save him some money where it is legal. I know sending ammo is legal if a FFL ships but in a locked pistol case you can fly ammo to any state.

Does federal law have additional rules for transferring inter state??

Appreciate all help..

The FFL is only required for the part with the serial number on it that is actually considered the "firearm" by the ATF. On some pistols that's the slide, on some it's the receiver.

It's only required to ship it to a FFL, not from a FFL.

The receiver has to be shipped to an FFL. The FFL in Fl may require that a FFL in NV ship it, although it is not legally required. I don't really know what your blue card is, but I would just toss it after you sell your handgun.

The short answer is that you will need to ship the handgun to an FFL in Florida for the actual transfer to your friend. No work around to that as its Federal law.
