If Jesus comes down and an Atheist repents, will he be saved?

If Jesus returns, and gathering believers, and a life long Atheist falls to his knees and repents and true heartily is remorseful and repents and accept Jesus as Savior, would he be saved? Would Jesus atone his sins on Judgement Day?

Obviously this question is directed towards Christians

    No. I don't think so because Jesus warns us about keeping vigilant. For 'if the Master of the home knew what time the thief would come he would not have let his house be broken in.' And, of the parable of the wise and foolish virgins who waited for the bridegroom to appear. The wise virgins brought extra oil but the foolish did not. When the bridegroom took longer to return then expected the wise virgins still had enough oil for their lamps. But, the foolish virgins did not. They had to leave and go buy oil. So, they were no longer prepared for the bridegroom. And, when they came back to the feast they found the bridegroom had arrived, and they were not allowed entry; instead they were left out where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.

    When Christ returns their will be judgment. At that point it will already be too late. Everyone will see Christ. Therefore, there won't be any atheists. But, there won't be believers either, because belief will no longer be required. We will be able to see and know. And, each man will be judged by their works.

    "Do you hold his priceless kindness, forbearance, and patience in low esteem, unaware that the kindness of God would lead you to repentance? By your stubbornness and impenitent heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself for the day of wrath and revelation of the just judgment of God, who will repay everyone according to his works: eternal life to those who seek glory, honor, and immortality through perseverance in good works, but wrath and fury to those who selfishly disobey the truth and obey wickedness."

    You must understand that Jesus is coming in the clouds to gather his saints, but if an atheist sees that Jesus is real and we were right after all and does repent, Jesus will forgive him but at this point he will have to go through the tribulation but if he stands true he will be saved when Jesus does come back to earth with his saints;

    Better to repent now and go up when he calls us

    Basically I don't know what the situation will be for atheists post-rapture.

    but I wouldn't wait that long.

    1. No man knows the day or the hour the Lord Jesus will return.

    2. An atheist doesn't know when he'll die in the flesh, just like a believer in Christ doesn't know when he'll die in the flesh.

    Yes... But what would make an atheist repent? You can all of a sudden believe in something you were completely against a second earlier.

    God doesn't exist... If he did answer this,

    If God is omnipotent (all powerful) and can create anything, can he create a boulder he cannot lift? To answer yes or no disproves the bibles simplest definition of God.

    Of course -- why wouldn't he be saved? Jesus is always willing to wait thoughout a person's entire lifetime to come to know him -- it's why Catholics do not uphold the death penalty...they could come to repentance at the end of their natural life!

    Yup, I'm an atheist and you can repent at any time and get saved, so I'm good

    It's all about dehumanizing people who are not in your cult, isn't it?
