Black Butler Anime Question?

When ever I first started watching Black Butler I noticed that too, but as time goes on Sebastian does step off of Ciel. I mean, they are the two main characters so physical contact on some occasions can't be avoided. As said in some of the other answers Sebastian just is really trying to make Ciel's soul as delicious as possible, if that makes sense, and he wants it so badly he can't help but touch the little shota! Black Butler is also considered by quite a few people, a shonen-ai anime, this means that it is VERY light yaoi, which is boys love, or BL (just in case you didn't know :3 ). So, I don't know if it was meant to be a shonen-ai, but the touching going on between them can be made out as sexual. Also, if you think that Sebastian seems like a pedo bear in the anime, you should read the manga! He can't keep his hands off Ciel! XD

P.S. I don't know if the touching going on between them irked you or not, but I advise you not to drop this anime because of it. It's great and so much fun to watch!

P.P.S.S Just a small warning in case sexual suggestions do bother you, later on there will be a sex scene involving Sebby, but it's with a woman. It is very mild, but, still. Also, Black Butler season 2 is VERY pedo like. In fact, there is a legitimate pedofile character (at least I consider him as such), but I have to say, it's hilarious in some ways.

When I first started watching Black Butler, I did not notice anything. Though, now that I'm on season 4 episode 1, I've realized that Sebastian has sort of been creepy around Ciel. It's all over social media that Sebastian is married/dating/engaged to Ciel. I personally don't like Sebaciel, though I Do support SebbyRin and Cielizzy. Seeing that people are making 'fan fictions' like this makes me quite uncomfortable.

I'm not saying that you all should stop watching BB, but I just want to make you aware of the things that happen!

If you think this it's pedo, then under NO circumstances watch Black Butler 2! It IS, UNDENIABLY pedo.

Keep in mind that the age of consent in Japan is 13, so they can get away with putting teens in obviously sexualized situations, even if in other countries it's defined as illegal.

As others have pointed out, Sebastian is only interested in Ciel's soul, and has no interest in his body.

That being said, despite the fact that this was based on an ostensibly SHOUNEN manga, the anime was sort of tailored for a female audience. Specifically for girls who get excited seeing two males touching, whether or not it's sexual in nature. There actually IS a sex scene involving Sebastian later on, but it's with a woman.

I don't think it gets any "worse" than what you've seen so far (except maybe the very last scene, which might seem a bit suggestive if your radar is already up). If you're uncomfortable with it, don't feel forced to watch. A lot of people gripe about the second half of the series, because it's completely not based on the manga.

I consider Kuroshitsuji to be a Shotacon BL. I'm sure most of the fans have the same opinion.

If you're worried, Sebastian's not going to do anything to Ciel, but at some scenes you will be given the illusion that he is, although you'll soon know for sure that he isn't...

If you find it creepy, I think you should stop watching it. The story is amazing, but I think those scenes hinting at SebastianXCiel are going to be too much of a distraction.

And Sebastian's no pedophile, he's a demon. He's hungry for Ciel's soul, not his body.

O.O If you find how he behaves now creepy then you would not mix in with the main fandom of Black Butler. Ciel and Sebastian are considered a couple by many of the shows fan girls.There are erotic fan arts and doujinshi (basically porn) and all sorts of crap like that dedicated to them. Personally i think it's slightly creepy too so i just stay away, but considering the author of the series has made yaio manga before i guess it's to be expected the anime would hint at sexual stuff between them i just think the fans sometimes take it a tiny bit too far...

Well, he's all over Ciel is because he REALLY wants to eat his soul. It's part of their contract, and I guess Ciel's soul is quite divine to after for. And spoiler: in the 2nd season, there is another butler who's after Ciel.

According to what I read, it was first supposed to be a really graphic SebaCiel yaoi, but Yana's editor said it wouldn't sell well……with some of the fangirls, I think it's quite the opposite……

Anyway, Yana removed the yaoi but left hints of it.
