How long would it take to get a red light camera ticket?
Twice, this camera was green as i got to the middle of the intersection, then it turned yellow and immediately turned red. I was passing directly under the light as it turned red. Will I even get a ticket at all? And if I do, how long will it take to get me a ticket? BTW, it was in Louisiana.

It doesn't take your picture unless you cross the limit line on yellow or red, so if it was green when you entered, you won't get a ticket.

Took mine about 3 weeks and silly me, I paid it. I say that because two weeks ago there was a news story about how few people pay up. In TX there isn't anything they can do to collect. So if you don't pay they turn it over to a collection agency. Then just ignore the collection agency because there is nothing they can do either, other than bug you via phone or mail.
The ticket isn't issued to a person, but to a car. So it doesn't go on my insurance as they don't know who was driving. They tried to get the DMV to collect before they would issue new plates but the DMV told them no way, they are not in business to collect fines. So for now the red light camera tickets are toothless tigers in TX. You may want to check what they do in LA before coughing up your hard earned money.

In the UK they have to notify you within 14 days or the ticket becomes invalid. The ticket is issued to the registered owner of the vehicle who is assumed to be the driver unless you can prove otherwise. For company owned vehicles the company is bound by law to disclose the driver at the time of the offence, failure to do so will land the company in court.

Flash cameras are illegal if used at stop lights and the county will usually negate any money levied by the city plus penalties. Any flashes preceeding collisions make the city liable no matter if anyboby ran a light. Soon, they will be removed because of the abuses of the law that they represent. I am bullshi*ting but sounds right, huh? Every car that is filmed that performs correctly for the camera is entitled to 18 dollars for film work, by law. Citizens must give consent and waive entitlements at every monitored stop light.Any could demand the film if not asked for consent and who have not been paid for their appearance upon crossing the intersection..( i hate abuses of the law). Car registration is now 43 cents is most states. If you register on an automated system, the cost is 14 cents. Any extra monies are considered political donations to fund the returning of overcharged registration fees. Photo resistant license plates are now available and if flash photographed, will reflect 'fuc* you" to the camera and immediately fill out an automated lawsuit for the camera's owner to face for blatant disregard of public safety. These plates are free upon request, and are slightly radioactive. Micro oil refineries are now standard on most cars and crude stations pay you to pump away unrefined fuel. Smog stations are now installed in catylytic converters and must be read by meter readers but only on thoroughfares.
